The Club formed in 2001 in Estes Park, Colorado, gateway to the beautiful “Rocky Mountain National Park” and the “Continental Divide”. The Estes Park Equestrian Club was brought to life by founders Cindy Brandjord and Stacie Gallagher.
EPEC started as a way to bring horse folks from the town together, exchange ideals about horses, to share favorite trail rides and to make sure that these trails remain open to the horse and the people who love them. ….and much more.
As the “NEW” world has taken hold it seems as through the horse is slowly being pushed into the background–forgetting that the horse and human have worked together to build this town and Park .
Our Mission Statement
Estes Park Equestrian Club is a diverse group of equestrians whose mission is to promote and educate responsible horsemanship, and to encourage the continued legacy of horse use in the Rocky Mountain Region.
The EPEC is dedicated to the on-going education of horse and human; to keep the awareness of the horse, the importance of the horse and its presence in our Rocky Mountain National Park alive and well.
Why Should I Belong?
No matter where you live, a group of like minded horse lovers can provide education and support to you and your horse. It is wonderful to be able to share concerns, stories, and experiences with people who love horses. It is a wonderful thing to go on a trail ride with people you enjoy and trust to be safe and concerned for their comrads and horses.
It is also encumbent on each of us to serve our community in whatever capacity makes sense for us. Therefore, your community horse club will serve as a vehicle to serve others.
